In Switzerland, we barely put a tube in an adult's eardrum at all. It's LITERALLY the last resort. And it's because we address the ACTUAL cause first. I moved to America two years ago when my wife's company transferred her to Boston. I joined a practice here. Good practice. Good doctors. And in my first three months, I saw something that made me question everything. Patient after patient sitting across from me with the same look on their face. Exhausted. Defeated.
