GROWTH DEPT.

How it works

From a 45-minute call to a department that runs every day.

No long onboarding, no 40-slide kickoff. Your AI team is in your Slack within a week and running everything inside thirty days. Here's what happens, step by step, and the little we need from you.

Step by step

Eight steps. Most of them are ours.

Here's the whole thing, in order, with what happens at each step and the one thing we need from you.

  1. Day 1

    Step 1: The call

Forty-five minutes with your growth executive. We look at your numbers, agree on what you'd hand off first, and list the stores, marketplaces and ad accounts to connect. You leave with a written plan.

Your part: Bring your store link and the numbers you already trust.

    • Your numbers today: revenue, ad spend, what's working
    • What you'd hand off first if you could
    • Which stores, marketplaces and ad accounts to connect
    • What your AI team takes on in month one

You leave with a written plan: what your AI team does first, what it costs, and the day it joins your Slack.

  2. Week 1

Step 2: We build your machine

A dedicated machine, built for your brand. Your AI employees are installed on it with the names and tone you chose, and our proven playbooks for ads, email, store pages and Amazon are fitted to your products. For the first month it runs in our office, on your machine, under accounts in your name, while everything is connected and your AI team proves itself. On Day 30 it ships to you and we no longer hold a standing key. What protects it during those thirty days is on the security page.

Your part: Nothing. We'll send a short progress note.

Your AI employees join the channels you picked and introduce themselves. Ask them about the business from day one; they answer from your numbers.

Your part: Add your AI team to Slack. Two clicks, and we walk you through it.

Step 4: The morning brief starts

From its first morning in Slack, at 6:00: the last 24 hours of revenue and return for every account already connected, what moved, what's about to run out, and what your AI team suggests doing about it. By week 2 it covers everything.

Step 5: Your stores, marketplaces, ads and email get connected

Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, every ad account, Klaviyo, your tracking tool and your spreadsheets. All your numbers land in one place, on your machine. Claude is connected too, so your team can ask it about the business from their laptops. Your accounts stay yours: your AI employees get access to Meta, Google, Amazon, TikTok, Snapchat and AppLovin as users, never owners, and you can remove that access from any platform in one click without telling us.

Your part: Sign in to each account once. We handle the rest. We never ask for your passwords.

  6. Week 3

Step 6: Your AI team starts proposing

Ad changes, restocks, new ads, email tests. For a week your AI employees post what they would have done and why, without making changes. You correct their reasoning before giving them more responsibility.

Your part: Tell the team where you disagree. Those corrections shape the next proposal.

Step 7: You approve, then set the limits

  8. Day 30

Step 8: The machine ships to your office. The weekly review starts.

Your side, our side

A call, a few sign-ins, three numbers. We do the rest.

Most of the install is our work. Your part is the handful of things only an owner can do.

What you do

  • Take one 45-minute call

Your numbers, your priorities, your accounts.

  • Add your AI team to Slack

Two clicks. We walk you through it.

  • Sign in to each account once

Shopify, Amazon, your ad accounts, Klaviyo. We never ask for your passwords.

  • Set your limits

A daily budget ceiling, a return floor and a daily scale cap per channel. Change them any time.

  • Tap Approve or Skip

One card per platform at 9:00, with every proposal on it. Not a stream. An unanswered card is a Skip; nothing waits on you.

  • Show up on Monday

Forty-five minutes a week with your growth executive.

What we do

  • Build your machine

Configured for your brand and shipped to your office.

  • Set up your AI team

Your names for the agents, your channels, your tone, your rules.

  • Connect everything

Every store, marketplace, ad account, email tool and spreadsheet.

  • Put all your numbers in one place

On your machine, refreshed around the clock, backed up nightly.

  • Connect Claude to your business

So anyone on your team can ask a plain question and get a real answer.

  • Run it every day, review it every week

A human growth executive is accountable for the numbers.

The first 30 days

In your Slack in a week. Running everything in thirty days.

What you keep

Everything we build is yours. If you ever move on, it keeps running.

The machine sits in your office. Your AI team, your data and your playbooks live on it. End the engagement and nothing switches off: your AI team keeps running exactly as it is, with the manual and the change record. The AI accounts are already in your name, so the provider bills you directly and nothing else changes.

  • The machine

Built for you, delivered to your office, your property from day one.

  • Your AI team

Set up for your brand, with everything it's learned about your business.

  • Your data

Every number from every store, marketplace and ad account, in one place, on your machine.

  • Your playbooks

The ad, email, store page and Amazon playbooks, tailored to your products.

  • Your Slack app

Installed in your workspace under your name. The channels and the record of every change stay with you.

Then, every week

Forty-five minutes on Monday with a human who owns the numbers.

Your AI team runs the department every day. Your weekly review is led by Holden Russell, CEO of Growth Dept and your growth executive. Holden reviews what moved, what changed, what's next, and the few decisions only you can make.

Who is on the hook

Run by the people who run the six brands on this site.

Your growth executive is one of the operators who runs CGK Linens, Beckham Hotel Collection, SafeRest, Meliusly, 437 and Vita Hustle every day. They work with AI employees, a dedicated machine and a Monday review, just as they will for your brand.

Meet the people who will set up and run your department.

You will have a named growth executive and a team behind them.

The numbers, what your AI team changed, what is next, and the calls only you can make.

  • Sets and reviews your AI team's limits

The three numbers per channel are theirs to propose and yours to sign.

  • Same-day reply in Slack on weekdays

A person, not a support inbox. If your executive ever changes, you meet the next one before the switch, and they inherit the machine and the full change record.

Questions

The ones founders ask on the first call.

Who actually changes my ads?

Your AI team proposes; someone on your team approves. Every change shows up in Slack with before and after, and nothing moves until you tap Approve. Once you trust it, you can let it act inside three numbers you set per channel — a daily budget ceiling, a return floor, a daily scale cap — and it reports every hour. Even then, a new campaign, a price change, a listing edit or a customer email always waits for a tap.

What do you mean by 'you own the machine'?

We build a dedicated machine for your brand, set it up, and ship it to you. It runs your AI team, holds your numbers and every connection. It's your property from day one, and so is everything we build on it. After Day 30 we hold no standing key: when your AI team needs a hand from us, you grant access from Slack for that job, every sign-in by us lands in the change record with a name and a reason, and it switches off when the job is done.

How long does it take?

Your AI team is in your Slack within a week. Media buying, Amazon, email and creators are fully running inside thirty days, with a written plan at every step.

Do you replace my agency?

Usually, yes. Your people keep the judgment calls, while AI employees handle the daily work across channels. Your growth executive is there for the decisions that need a human.

Next step

Forty-five minutes with our team. Your AI team in your Slack a week later.

Bring your store URL and the numbers you already trust. You'll leave with a written plan: what your AI team takes on first, what it costs, and when it's in your Slack.
